Overview
Rock
Leadership maximizes the positive impact that staff of youth organizations
can have on its children. Taught in a live workshop over the course
of several days, Rock Leadership training is fun, inspiring and
makes a difference in the lives of everyone involved.
Using proprietary methods and materials, each topic is explored in a unique and
meaningful way. Part of the workshop occurs on-site at the Rock
Leadership Training Center and part of the workshop may occur
off-site during one or more excursions to help reinforce the concepts
to the group.
Rock Leadership was created by Rob Gallo and his
group of talented leaders who have been training others on teen
leadership experience for over 22 years. Rob Gallo's success in
creating programs for kids that focus on experiential learning
- self-reliance, discovery and personal growth - is the result
of his experience and background. He has been a mental health
counselor for at-risk youth, a Camp Director for three organizations
and is the owner of Driftwood Ranch Camp, a unique summer youth
program which uses horsemanship to implement The Rock Method™.
At the heart of the program is the potential of what can happen
when a staff member truly understands the incredible responsibility
that he or she has when becoming a mentor in a child's life.
Participants are taught how to develop the intent and methods needed to create
this impact. However, the main ingredient in The Rock Method™
is to internalize this specific skill set, so that it becomes
instinct, thereby establishing a truly meaningful relationship
with a child.
